Swimming and Sledding In Minnesota

We left for MN on Christmas Eve! Landed in a snowstorm,

but landed safely and were able to spend the holidays with

family. I went sledding for the 1st time. I liked it at first, but then

got a face full of snow, and now am not too big on it.

We then went to the community center and I went swimming with

daddy. I had a lot of fun in the shallow end where I could run around.

I think I am getting a new tooth...low grade fever, crabby, drooling and lots

of fingers in the mouth. I am trying to be happy, but it is hard when I don't feel

so great.

I got many really nice toys for Christmas and am learning how they all work! So

much to figure out and learn.

It has been a great month so far! We had fun at school making all kinds of projects to bring home! We also had to get a swine flu shot. Ouch! But I was very brave! I also had my 18 month check-up! 26lbs 7.5 oz. 34 inches long and still have a very big head!

I found out that I am going to have a little brother in the spring! Mommy and daddy have been trying to figure out names for him.

We decided to go on a hike last weekend to Fletcher Canyon. Daddy carried me most of the way until I fell asleep and had "broke neck" in the backpack. Mommy and daddy carried me the rest of the way down. I am heavy when I am sleeping!

Then we had Thanksgiving at home with Grandma Mavis, Chad, Lacey, Mommy and Deeda (daddy). It was a very good turkey and I liked the potatoes. I was a very good boy!

We put up the Christmas tree and dedaa put up the lights outside. We also got baby brothers room all ready for him. When he comes, I get to have a new, big boy bed!

Today, I had my 1st haircut! I am such a handsome little man now. I sat there and was very brave through the whole thing. I didn't cry once! It helped that I got to sit in a fire truck AND watch Elmo on TV. I don't think haircuts are so bad...

Tonight, mommy and daddy are going to Cher! Grandma Mavis is going to watch me and put me to night night.

Mommy and daddy are reading me books about Santa and presents. I am not sure that I really get it, but I do know who Santa is! Not really what he does, but I can point to him!

We got all dressed and ready to go at home. Then we went to the District at Green Valley Ranch where the shopkeepers give out candy! We got there early, before it got too busy. He really seemed to enjoy it! I think next year we will be chasing him!

Family pictures Aug 2009

We spent almost 2 weeks in Minnesota this August. It was very relaxing! Riley was very good. He went to several parks, travelled to Aunt Jenny and Uncle Scott's house, and saw some friends that we hadn't seen in awhile. Trip was just what was needed after a hectic couple months.

Chris starts back to teaching on Monday. Riley went back to "school" already on last Wednesday. He seems to really enjoy his new school. He even takes an almost 2 hour nap everyday!

He has his 15 month check-up on Monday!

The last few weeks

We have been very busy traveling the last few weeks! First, I went to Lake Tahoe and went hiking and biking! It was very fun. Our whole family would like to go back for a longer stay and explore some more.

When I got home from that trip, it was time to unpack and repack to leave for Minnesota the very next day! I went with daddy and then mommy came later! It was so much fun and we got to see the whole family!

Been home now for a few weeks. I was on the slide with mommy and my leg got caught between mommy and the side of the slide. I have to have a cast for 1 more week (two weeks total). Hopefully on July 13 (my 14 month birthday) I will get the cast off!

Daddy is home all summer with me! It has been great! We have a lot of fun together. Mommy is working hard, but is looking forward to another trip in August!
